F140 - Light Duty Tower

 The F140 series of pre-engineered towers are designed for light to medium duty applications such as HF radio, VHF & UHF broadcasting and small microwave radio systems. These towers have been used extensively by mining companies, the military and emergency services for communication infrastructure in urban and rural areas. Other applications these tower have been used for are amateur radio and for use as rooftop mounted towers. Smaller microwave dishes may be mounted close to the top of the tower, with larger dishes lower down.

Foundations

 F.E.C. have a range of standard foundation designs for all F140 towers, for a variety of soil conditions. Foundations commonly used are deep & shallow slabs. For remote locations steel grillage foundations are frequently supplied.

The F140 is a continuous tapered tower, the bottom face width varies with the tower height:  
6m Tower base width = 670mm
45m Tower base width = 3700mm
